Lauren & Doug Trappen

Dear Hospice Services of Nevada,

When my husband & I first got my cancer diagnosis, we felt lost. Then Hospice Services of Nevada entered, and we felt supported and comforted to know that they were there to help us day or night. It is such a comfort to know we are not alone. Tracy Banner and Ilan Banner were there for us the very first day. We were so very thankful for them! Soon we met Nurse Irene who has been a Godsend – she comes every week to see how we are doing. Paul Z., the social worker is wonderful too! We are so grateful. Thank you very much to Hospice Services of Nevada.

Barnard, Donald

Dear Hospice services staff,

On behalf of our entire family, I wish to thank you for the kind words of sympathy and floral arrangement sent upon my fathers recent death.

Most importantly, we will always be grateful for the role you played in attendance to his medical care and comfort during the final weeks of life.

Again, thank you so much.
Mark Barnard

Gillespie Funeral Home, Pastor Daniel Smith and my forever Messiah Missionary Baptist Church family.

Cacuyog, Hipolita

Appreciation should never be the end of the road it should merely be the start of a journey to a path less trodden. Its just our own little way of saying thanks to all the efforts and hard work, for patience and dedication and most of all for getting along and taking good care of my mom like their own, thats why, i have so much respect and it makes me feel more related to your team than my own blood. Again, Thank you so much.

Lois Cavalier

My family and I are appreciative of the care my Aunt Lois received from your wonderful employees. She was kept so clean and as comfortable as was possible. In addition, the women put a little makeup on her daily, as she requested! Thank you, also, for the beautiful flower arrangement. It meant a lot to us.

I found Hospice Services of Nevada to be highly professional with qualified and extremely knowledgeable and friendly workers. They were willing to go the extra mile to take care of my dearest friend. Service was a five star with employees doing their best to give the medical care needed to keep their patient comfortable. They reached out to the family keeping them informed and doing their best to comply with their concerns. Medicines were delivered in a timely manner. Head nurses and doctor made regular home visits and calls.
When the end was there, they were there holding our hands and helping every minute with the medical needs and emotional drama.
This is one of the best hands on Hospice companies that can be found. It was as if we were all family. Thank you! We love you all.
Dottie Ratzlaff. In loving memory for Dr. Joan Smits

I am so grateful to have somehow gotten the phone number for Tracy Banner. Her professionalism was impeccable! I did not know anything about hospice services to start and she told me everything I needed to know. She was able to set my father up with everything that he needed right away to help him as he transitioned to a group home. Once there every hospice person on his case was so warm, loving, knowledgeable. They not only cared for my dad but also our family all the way until he passed away and even after! I can’t praises this service and these loving people enough! Thank you!

My family and I are so grateful for the care and compassion that was given to my father-in-law. The staff that help him during his last days were absolutely AMAZING. From the initial consultation between my brother-in-law, my father-in-law with Tracey who was kind and supportive by answering all their questions and even gave a quick evaluation of my father-in-law’s state. Rose, the nurse supervisor, was an angel when my father-in-law wasn’t receiving the care that he should have been receiving at Mt. View Hospital. My husband had seen my father-in-law in pain and not getting any help from the doctor there, he called and Rose was there to help. This company is more like family coming in to share the pain and help to bring peace and compassion during a difficult time. Tracey, Rose, and Rosie should be commended for their dedication and commitment to the patients they serve. We will FOREVER be grateful to them for all that they did to help my father-in-law pass in peace and without pain.

My husband of forty-eight years was treated with respect and total kindness. He was a big man used to doing everything for himself and me. He also worried about me having to do so much for him. He would perk up whenever Rose came by. He felt loved and knew she truly cared about both of us which also brought him peace.
I found all of the staff to be professional and personable, a great combination. Special appreciation to Paulina. She’s a rock star.
Thanks also to Jazz for the water tips especially
It helped a lot. Thank you to everyone who came by. I truly appreciate you all.

A Beacon of Light in the Darkest Days: Hospice Services of Nevada

In the most challenging chapter of our lives, when my beloved wife was battling terminal colon cancer, Hospice Services of Nevada became our sanctuary of compassion and dignity. What began as the most devastating journey imaginable was transformed by their extraordinary care into something filled with moments of grace and profound connection.

From our first meeting, the Hospice Services of Nevada team approached my wife’s care with exceptional professionalism paired with genuine warmth. Her pain management was handled with meticulous attention—they consistently stayed ahead of her discomfort, adjusting medications with precision while respecting her desire to remain as present as possible during her final weeks.

What truly distinguished their care was how they treated her as a whole person, not just a patient. Her primary nurse, who visited every three days, would sit and listen to stories of our life together. The hospice aide who helped with her personal care treated her with such respect and tenderness that my wife would often comment how these visits restored her dignity during a time when so much felt beyond her control.

When difficult moments arose—and there were many—someone from the team was always available, day or night. A particularly compassionate social worker guided us through emotional conversations about grief and saying goodbye.

In our home, they created a peaceful environment with all the necessary medical equipment subtly integrated. They educated our family on what to expect and how to participate in her care, empowering us during a time when helplessness threatened to overwhelm.

In those final days, their presence was our anchor. They ensured her transition was peaceful, free from pain, and surrounded by love. After she passed, their bereavement services continued to support our family through the initial waves of grief.

Hospice Services of Nevada didn’t just provide medical care—they honored my wife’s journey and our love story. In the face of life’s most difficult passage, they showed us that compassion, dignity and beauty can exist even in our darkest hours. For this gift, I will be eternally grateful.

My sister Marna Kardon, was lovingly cared for by Hospice Services of Nevada for 5 months. There are no words that can adequately express our family’s gratitude for her nurse Jayson, and her CNA Marina. Without fail, they were compassionate, communicative, consistent, responsive and professional.

Services were seamless throughout my sister’s course of care.

We are so grateful for their involvement and guidance.
